Monarch became centered on abolishing sex trafficking in our city beginning in 2011 … it has been an impassioned endeavor which has grown every year. Centered earrings represent the “target” of what is most important – bringing rescued girls into a safe home where they can be loved, educated, rehabilitated from drugs, and find a new life of peace and freedom. You can help by purchasing Centered, made with copper hand-hammered metal rings, wire wrapped copper beads suspended in the middle and hanging from copper ear wires. These are great, lightweight earrings to pair with the Cross is Enough Copper Necklace.
Jen-Getting involved with Monarch has been a blessing for me as a volunteer because it is a creative outlet where I can live out my devotion to God and serve in a way that provides resources for the fight against sex-trafficking. The community of volunteers gathers weekly to produce jewelry for this purpose, and to offer support and prayer for one another.
The first U.S.-based Crisis Aid Refuge home opened in December 2012 for young adults. After many calls from multiple state agencies, we expanded our Refuge Home in July 2015 in order to serve both young adults and minors in state custody-which are both tremendous needs in our community according to the 2015 Trafficking in Persons Report.
Because of your giving and prayers, we have provided trauma-centered aftercare services to more than 155 American victims of sex trafficking ages 13-30 years old.
